Successfully sequenced my entire home (3 story house) in 23.976 (24fps) both with very little shaky footage. Daily 15-20 min practice is my goal every single weekday until I master all the long runs. Nothing is impossible and time management is an attainable task for ANYONE. Just take ambition and motivation. I have always been a 24fps type of dude (for weddings and events) but being able to slowly master 24fps at home will give me massive footage and distance boost on an actual job at 60fps not to mention it will feel easy! Practice makes perfect folks, nothings changes otherwise. Not to mention the files are WAY LIGHTER, double the light collection so lower ISO, NO PROXIES NEEDED since we are shaving down half the frames and everything runs smooth. Following up to my last weekly action post, I had a banging week. Mentioned to a small broker that i’ve been working on my craft while at a photoshoot today. TPVs IMPACT IS HUGE!
I started TPV with roughly 155k a year business model. I’ve had some good months and I’ve had some bad months. I did not join TPV because I thought I could charge 3-10k a video. I joined because I knew I was up against a wall with agents getting tired of the same video and the boring videos were becoming less and less popular. Since joining I’ve since, signed with 2 agency’s for 7,000 monthly retainers and one more being signed on Wednesday for 3,500 with a total 10,500 per month for just video. That was about my average leading into coming into TPV. I’ve taken my business to over 30,000 consecutively the last 2 months and I’m not looking to stop. I pay my success to TPV, they showed me the light. Im not probably ever going to charge enough but if I want to continue to scale and grow my success is determined by monthly income and not a gross sale. I’ve increased my videos from 150-300 to 400-1,250 . I hope that everyone in the group continues to grow, flourishes and levels up their business, the way I have. I became LASER FOCUSSED…. I shifted all my photography work to my other shooters. I became more obsessed with training. I didn’t live in a market where video like this could yield me good money. I decided to create a NEW MARKET. I started to cold call agents, that didn’t work. I texted dozens of agents and I got flicked…. So I decided lets goooo! I just started to walk into any bloody house I wanted… I got a supra, I will walk in and shoot content F it. IF YOU WONT ANSWER MY CALLS IMMA DEMAND TO BE ANSWERED. I shot some sexy content. I texted links to the agents and my phone started to blow up. I’ve been busy 3-4 days a week shooting videos for 3-4x my normal price. his weekend I had an agent hire me on a video of a listing that wasn’t even hers… Today the builder called me and signed a retainer for $60,000 for the year to produce monthly content! I’m not even getting started. I’m just warming up my engines, I’m ready to call Grant Cardone in Miami and pitch him to let my company take over his marketing campaign. It’s been a week with a bunch of wins. I’ve been up really late into the morning every day because I can’t stop practicing my gimbal work. I get the shots very smoothly but I want to get to the point where I can reliably nail the best shot in 1 take, every time. I’m getting better and better and I’m having fun while I work. And I am sleeping on my couch because I keep passing out in my living room at night, haha. Second win: I did work for a new client, a luxury-focused agent, for the first time this week and she called me on the phone after seeing the video and she was tripping over her words with excitement. She described the video as “a masterpiece.” I will never forget that. It truly was a cinematic video and I think it was my best one yet, and the compliment went straight to my heart. It was this course and the lessons in the modules that made this possible, and I get so fired up from this community as well because you are a supportive group, and so thank you to everyone for being so stoked on everyone’s wins. I filmed another house for this agent too and it was a pretty massive $2,150,000 home. I completed the shoot in 2 hours and it only took me 2 hours to edit. I won’t even begin to describe what my shoot and edit times were before this course because they were insane, to the point I wondered if it was ever going to change, but now I have a new ability and a new mindset. Dialed and Stoked!!! I’m telling you all, we are in different markets but the industry across Canada and the U.S. is very, very similar in terms of how the agents think, and all these markets are primed for change. Real estate marketing is literally confined to something mediocre in these markets and home sellers paying good money deserve BETTER.
